Robert Fowler is one of the UK’s finest tenor sax players whose broad tone and swinging style found him joining the Pasadena Roof Orchestra in 1986, whom he stayed with for 10 years touring the globe and is the featured sax soloist on six of their albums. His influences are Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins and like them his tone is warm, broad and juicy, with calm and measured phrasing.

Robert has played with The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The BBC Big Band, Humphrey Lyttelton Band, and spent two years touring with Bryan Ferry’s Roxy Music and is the featured tenor sax player on their album, ‘As Time Goes By’.

Tonight Robert will take us on a journey through the slow and tender ballads to some serious swing.
