Join us for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's latest shop opening!

On Tuesday 8 April at 9:00 am, Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) will be opening the doors to its first shop within North Somerset in the heart of Portishead. The new shop will be GWAAC’s twelfth to operate within its wider region.

GWAAC is inviting local shoppers to visit the new shop, meet the team and grab a bargain. To celebrate the opening of the shop, GWAAC will be offering a promotion whereby you receive the cheapest item for free when you purchase four or more products.

These monthly creative writing workshops are perfect for anyone who can't commit to weekly sessions, but would like some time for reflection, to create a new story or poem and meet other like-minded, friendly people over cakes. These workshops are £12 and places must be booked beforehand, so please get in touch if you'd like to join a session.

A talk by Peter Lander about Birnbeck Pier, Weston-super-Mare - its history and plans for its restoration which is now underway. This talk is organised by Gordano Civic Society. Visitors are welcome – cost £5 inc refreshments (members £2). Free car parking immediately behind hall in Wyndham Way car park. The society's full range of publications will be available to purchase.

The Open Day is a chance for you, your family and friends to have ago. The club's coaches and volunteers will be on hand to help you and equipment will be provided. The event is free. Refreshments will be provided and car parking is free.

The only thing that we ask is that you wear flat soled shoes.
